Sandro Di Stefano, a highly accomplished composer for international cinema, is the creative force behind the soundtrack for the film Cadet. Directed by the acclaimed Adilkhan Yerzhanov and produced by Tiger Films, Cadet has earned a prestigious spot in the Official Selection at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival.The collaboration between Di Stefano and Yerzhanov, both esteemed members of the European Film Academy, began in 2021. With Cadet, they mark their fourth cinematic venture together. In 2024, they undertook two major projects nearly simultaneously: Cadet and Mavr. In addition to composing the soundtrack for Mavr, Di Stefano also served as Associate Producer.This dynamic duo has achieved remarkable success, earning accolades at renowned festivals including Warsaw, Rotterdam, and the Kazakh Critics Award, culminating in a nomination at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2024.Sandro Di Stefano’s illustrious career includes collaborations on international films featuring stars such as Dolph Lundgren and Christopher Lambert, with productions and distributors like Lionsgate and Voltage Pictures. His soundtracks have been released by major labels, including Warner, K9, Plaza Major, Sony, and Varèse Sarabande. Notably, his work on the Polish film The Man with the Magic Box won the Best Music Award at the Gdynia Film Festival, received an Orly nomination, and earned him an invitation as a guest composer at the FMF in Krakow, where his work was performed by the Krakow Symphony Orchestra.The highly anticipated premiere of the Kazakh production Cadet will take place at Berlinale 2025, marking another milestone in Di Stefano’s impressive career.
